I overestimated how much time I’ll have to blog with the garden going strong. Oops. However, it looks like most of the plants are perking up with the warmer weather, but I lost an entire row of jalapeno peppers, which is super sad. Next week I’ll be pulling up the garlic that I planted last fall and then planting potatoes and carrots in their spot. I’ve already got the potatoes in a sunny window sprouting well.
I’m also resprouting lettuce cores and celery (plus, I didn’t pull the roots of the lettuce from the garden, just sliced off the head, and that’s regrowing too!). When these get tiny roots, I’ll replant them on a cool day and see if I can get another round of them. (The lettuce is by far my favorite. It’s Salanova lettuce from Johnny’s Seeds. It’s not cheap as far as lettuce seed goes, but it is tender and crisp and has small leaves that have the texture and crunch of full sized romaine. So yummy!)
I’m still using my Bullet Journal, though it’s not fancy and I haven’t had time to make it fun or cute, but it’s still my go to planner (since 2014!). I’m loving cutting tabs in the top of the pages to make it easier for me to find specific pages.
UPDATE: Wow! The response was overwhelming. Thank you! I have all the testers I need!
I’m working on another way for you to engage with Scripture, and I’m super excited about it. It has been literally years in the making and I think I’ve got it down to a great format! It’s a fun, creative way to engage with scripture (no drawing or doodling this time) that is perfect for elementary students to adults. It’s fun, but it is deep. Here’s a sneak peek prototype of the cover.
All that to say, I’m looking for a few testers to try it out and give me feedback. I’d need your thoughts by the end of July. I’m looking for a variety of ages to test it out for me. If you have middle school or high school teens or are interested in testing it yourself (it’s so fun to do, and helps you glean incredible insights!)
please send me an email on the Contact Me link at the bottom of this page. Let me know a little about you and I’ll choose a few to be my testers. I found my testers, THANK YOU!
I was talking to a good friend this week about the lies we believe… especially lies about self-care. I want to believe they are true. I want to grab all the time and pampering and zoning out for myself… but that is a lie that never fulfills, but is really great at destroying. She responded with this mic drop:
“God is not making me into what I believe is my best, most beautiful self. He is conforming me to the image of His Son.”
