Who was Susan Allibone?
The memoir of Susan Allibone is available at a special low price for just a few more days. Be sure to get it (and all the freebies!) before the price goes up next week! But maybe you want to know who this woman was who lived such a life as to inspire a memoir in the 1850’s? I’m so glad you asked!
One of the things Susan did in her spare time between primitive 1800s medical treatments, visits from friends and family, writing to others, and teaching children’s classes, was compile a book on Psalm 119. In that book, she listed each verse in Psalm 119 and below each verse, wrote out other verses from the Bible that amplified or illustrated it. Her friends and family testified that she did this all from memory, without any cross references or commentaries to help her.
In that book, which was published posthumously, there was a short tribute written about her. It gave a sweet glimpse into her life that I loved! I typed it up in a free booklet for you to print out and enjoy also. Just click the download button below.
Also, don’t forget if you buy the memoir this week, you’ll get a special price on the book AND all the freebies below! (After purchasing, click here to unlock your freebies.)
Kari, now that Susan’s book is completed have you considered updated your mediation study on Psalms 119? Or maybe just re-running it again? Blessings Patty
