{Saturday with Susan} prayer requests
In Susan Allibone’s memoir, she often asks friends to pray for her. I was quite struck with how different her prayer requests are from my own. If someone asks me how they can pray for me, I usually ask for prayer about problems or difficulties I’m facing. Susan very rarely (maybe never?) asked for things like that. Her prayer requests were always similar to this one she wrote to her pastor:
“Will you pray that I may have new views of the Saviour? That I would search out the treasures of wisdom and knowledge which are hid in Him, and advance more rapidly in divine things?”
