New Series! Spiritual Depression #1 – General Considerations
Since we are living in a very confusing time in history, and since there’s been a huge increase in people suffering from depression and even suicide, I’m listening to a series of sermons given back in the 1950s by one of my favorite preachers of all time, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. Dr. Lloyd-Jones was born in 1899 and lived through WWI, the Spanish Flu epidemic, the Great Depression, WWII, Smallpox, the Korean War, the rise of “free love” and feminism in the 60s and 70s, the Vietnam War, and hyperinflation.
The first in this series is the “General Consideration” of Spiritual Depression. It defines what it is, the general causes, and some tips on how we can start dealing with it. There are 24 sermons in this series, and I’m hoping to listen to and share my notes with you twice a month. There is also a book if you’d like to access it that way (I’ve heard the audio sermons aren’t always the same as what is in the book).
I’m also making my notes easily printable for you to print out and follow along, adding notes of your own. My notes are half page size, so you can organize them in a half-sized mini binder. I’m going to try to make all my products in half-page size as much as I can so you can start your own library of sermon notes, Bible studies, biblical meditation, and so much more coming soon! I find these mini binders easy to use and carry with you and more convenient (and cheaper!) than full size binders. If you don’t have a mini binder, you can still use a regular size binder and just print the page as it is without cutting it down the middle and store that way also.
Click the picture below to get your copy of the notes and here’s a link to the sermons. I pray this will help all of us be women who think clearly and biblically in this confusing time.
So this will come through our emails? Thank you for this page.
Yes, I’ll send an email for each one!
Where’s the link for the audio sermons
Whoops! I added a link in the article above and here too. Thanks for noticing!

Thank you Kari! I just received his book The Kingdom of God from Amazon because I’m working on Matthew . . . your notes are great!
I subscribe to his organization and get emails, but I don’t think I have ever listened to his sermons. Thank you!! I am excited to get started.
Kari,
Thank you so much for sharing your sermon notes. I am anxious to dig into this Bible study.
Thank you for sharing with us! I bought the book (Kindle) and I’m so glad I did. The first sermon is scratchy ( I love their apology for the poor quality!), so I’m reading along in the book as I listen. It’s not 100% word for word, but very close and easy to follow along. I’m looking forward to listening a bit every evening.
I’m excited – thanks
Good day Kari, Do you perhaps have a link for #2 & #3?
