Studies in the Sermon on the Mount Course

Welcome!

This course brings the timeless wisdom of the late Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones and combines it with a completely original workbook that will help you personally apply what you read. It is a four part course through the classic book Studies in the Sermon on the Mount.

Our “professor” will be the late medical doctor and acclaimed pastor of Westminster Chapel, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. Our textbook will be Studies in the Sermon on the Mount, and your Teacher’s Aide will be me, Kari. I will pace you through the workshops, discuss what we’ve learned in short discussion videos, and share great extras and bonus items.

Meet your Professor

Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Doctor Martyn Lloyd-Jones was the highly acclaimed pastor of Westminster Chapel for over 30 years. He was trained as a medical doctor then felt the call of God to become a preacher. He was often referred to as “The Doctor” by the people he ministered to because of his ability to understand the root cause of a problem and how to treat it. He started his career healing bodies as a medical doctor, then spent decades healing souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is this workshop like?

First off, it’s super low key. No deadlines, no right or wrong answers, no stress. I designed it to give you lots of time to enjoy and think and apply. This is not a workshop with hour long videos and pages of flipping through you Bible and filling in the blanks. Instead, think of it as an enhanced personal Bible study.

For each session, you will read one chapter of the book, complete two workbook journal pages, then visit the website for a short discussion video (10 minutes, tops) and enjoy some interaction on each workshop page.

This course includes a your workbook, exclusive bonus links, cute printable memory cards, and other helpful printable items, like original doodled coloring pages to help you remember what you’re learning. In each short video I’ll share what I personally learned from the chapter (and some great stories from me and my friends who have been walking through the book with me–there are some GREAT ones!). And to make it extra amazing, there is an analogy one of my friends made up to help us remember the truth of each Beatitude.

P.S. I HIGHLY recommended that you find a couple friends to do this course with! It is a great excuse to get together and will help keep you accountable (plus friends are invaluable to cry together and laugh with as you grow!)
